Saharsa, April 22 (HS). An awareness program was organized in the smart class of Sarva Narayan Singh Ramkumar Singh College on the occasion of Earth Day on Monday under the joint aegis of Economics Department, Geography Department and NCC.
Principal Prof. Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, while discussing the importance of the earth in his address, mentioned the couplet of Ramcharitra Manas and he told that the earth is made up of our five elements and our life is from it, therefore, we should understand its importance and take care of it. Every possible effort should be made to protect.
NCC officer Dr. Kumari Seema said that the earth is greater than our mother, hence it is the duty of all of us to pay attention to its safety and should keep running awareness campaigns in schools, colleges etc. So that our water, forests, land and our environment can be conserved. Tree plantation was also done in the college by the college principal and NCC officer.
Dr. Amarendra Kumar of the Geography Department explained the problem of global warming in detail and said that if life is to be saved on earth, global warming will have to be reduced. Dr. Ramnaresh Paswan emphasized on dense planting of trees. Dr. Sunil Kumar Singh said that it is the responsibility of all of us to save the earth. A large number of students were present on this occasion.
