Katihar, 28 September (HS). Kosi Regional Handicapped, Widow, Old Age Welfare Committee and Katihar Divyang Mahaparivar conducted a cleanliness campaign on Saturday under Swachh Seva. In this campaign, major roads of the city and Sadar Hospital premises were cleaned.
The campaign aims to make people aware about the importance of cleanliness and urge them not to use banned polythene and plastic.
On this occasion, Bihar State Advisory Board (Social Welfare Department) member Shiv Shankar Ramani said that the participation of the disabled community in the cleanliness campaign is commendable. We should include cleanliness in our daily life. A healthy mind resides in a clean body.
In this campaign, senior volunteers of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Vasudev Nayak, Dr. Awadhesh Kumar Dev, Lelu Mandal, Lakshmi Devi, Mohd. Many people including Officer, Rajeev Kumar Singh, Julie Sharma, Monica Kumari, Neeraj Kumar, Sonali Das, Lakhi Das were present. This campaign will run till October 2, the aim of which is to make the city clean and green.
