Patna, 24 September (HS). A meeting on crime control was held on Tuesday evening at Bihar Police Headquarters under the chairmanship of Director General of Police (DGP) Alok Raj. In the meeting, the DGP gave the mantra of working on five points for maintaining law and order and crime control.
The DGP said that crime and law and order can be controlled smoothly through prevention, prediction, dictation, prosecution and prescription. To create fear of law in criminals, it is necessary to punish them legally. He said that criminal incidents have decreased. He directed all officers including the Superintendent of Police of the districts to play the role of leadership.
The DGP said that to maintain the trust of the common man in the police, it is necessary that immediate action be taken on public complaints and they be informed about the action taken. For this, he himself is meeting about 40-50 people coming to the office of the Director General of Police every day and their problems are being recorded. All the above problems are being sent to the police officer of the district for follow-up action. The Superintendent of Police of the district, the regional Inspector General of Police and the Deputy Inspector General should themselves fix a time to meet the citizens regularly and review the complaints sent by the Police Headquarters every month and ensure action.
