Direct selling is also contributing to the country's economy: Piyush Goyal

New Delhi, 08 March (Hindustan Reporter). Union Commerce and Industry, Consumer, Food and Textiles Minister Piyush Goyal said on Friday that direct selling business is also contributing to the country's economy. Goyal said that on completion of 100 years of independence in 2047, all kinds of comforts and facilities should be available to everyone in the country. Goyal said this while addressing the Big Women Entrepreneur Conference at Indira Gandhi Stadium here.

Commerce and Industry Minister on the occasion of International Women's Day attended a conference organized under the joint aegis of Confederation of All India Traders (CAT), Federation of Direct Selling Associations (FDSA) and Association of Direct Selling Entities of India (ADSEI). Addressing the women present, he said that Ram Rajya will be truly completed in the third term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Earlier, Union Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Zubin Irani, while addressing the millionaire women entrepreneurs present in the stadium, said that India will become the third largest economy in the world in the next 5 years. He said that in the third term of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, FDSA and ADSEI should also create 31 thousand Crorepati Didis, who will contribute to the country's economy, so that the Prime Minister's resolve is fulfilled. While addressing the Lakhpati Didi conference on International Women's Day, Smriti Irani said that today women are hoisting their flag in every field.

On this occasion, Praveen Khandelwal, BJP candidate from Chandni Chowk and General Secretary of business organization CAIT, thanked Piyush Goyal and said that Rs 16 thousand crores were saved by the Commerce and Consumer and Food Affairs Minister's help in making rules and laws related to direct selling. Today this business has become worth Rs 25 thousand crores, which will become Rs 1.25 lakh crore in the coming two years. On this occasion, millionaire women entrepreneurs were honored with bouquets, shawls and mementos.

Apart from this, about 25 thousand Lakhpati Didi women entrepreneurs from most of the states of the country participated in the Lakhpati Didi conference organized in New Delhi and hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as “Thank you Modi ji”.
