Did Rohit Sharma make a big mistake by dropping Akshar Patel from the team?

By the end of the second day of the Rajkot Test between India and England, England seemed to be in a strong position. In response to India's 445 runs in the first innings, England scored 207 runs with the help of Ben Duckett's unbeaten 133 runs and lost only two wickets. The English team is only 238 runs behind India. In such a situation, questions are being raised whether Rohit Sharma made a mistake by leaving out Axar Patel in the Rajkot Test, because Axar Patel plays domestic cricket for Saurashtra and has been playing on the same ground for many years. This is also the home ground of Akshar Patel. He has the ability to understand the pitch of Rajkot better than other players. However, he has been dropped from the third test.

Kuldeep instead of Akshar

Rohit Sharma included Ravindra Jadeja in the playing eleven in place of Axar Patel for the Rajkot Test and Kuldeep Yadav, who was playing the Visakhapatnam Test, has again made his place in the team. Kuldeep failed with the bat in the first innings. In place of Akshar, Kuldeep Yadav got a chance to bat at number 7 in the first innings but he returned to the pavilion after scoring 4 runs in 24 balls. After this, India expected him to get early wickets in bowling. But he also failed in bowling and gave away 42 runs in 6 overs of bowling.

By the end of the second day's play, Kuldeep Yadav had spent runs at an economy of 7. After which Kuldeep Yadav is being considered for inclusion in the playing 11 on the Rajkot pitch.

Akshar Patel impressed in the first two tests

Axar Patel was included in the team for Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam Tests. In the Hyderabad Test, he came to bat at number 9 and scored 44 runs in 100 balls. Akshar then took 2 wickets in the first innings itself. After this, in the second innings, Akshar once again scored 17 runs with the bat and took 1 wicket. In the Visakhapatnam Test also, Akshar Patel took 27 runs and 1 wicket in the first innings and 45 runs and 1 wicket in the second innings.
