Dhruv Jurel created history in his very first series and became the first Indian to achieve this feat

The India-England Test match played at the Jharkhand State Cricket Association International Cricket Stadium in Ranchi was very exciting. Despite lagging behind in the beginning of this match, Team India won by 5 wickets. The hero of this spectacular victory of the Indian team was 23 year old young wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel. He performed brilliantly in both the innings of the match and accomplished a feat which no Indian wicketkeeper could do in the last 22 years.

History created in debut series itself

In this match, Dhruv Jurel proved to be a trouble-shooter for Team India. In the first innings of the Ranchi Test match, wicketkeeper batsman Dhruv Jurel played a strong inning of 90 runs. In the second innings also he scored unbeaten 39 runs and led the team to victory. Dhruv was chosen man of the match for this brilliant performance. The special thing is that this is the first time in the last 22 years that an Indian wicketkeeper has won the Man of the Match award in his debut series. Before Dhruv, Ajay Ratra had achieved this feat for India in the year 2002.

Dhruv Jurel became number-1 in this matter

Dhruv Jurel has played only 2 test matches for Team India so far and has become a star among cricket fans. Dhruv Jurel also became the Indian wicketkeeper to win the Man of the Match award in the fewest number of Test matches. He won this award in only the second Test of his career. Earlier this record was in the name of Ajay Ratra. Ajay Ratra won the Man of the Match award in the third Test of his career.
