Dhoni broke records with fours and sixes in Visakhapatnam, the first Indian to achieve this feat

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has come out to bat only once in IPL 2024. But this one inning of his is gaining a lot of headlines. Mahi played this innings in CSK's third match against Delhi Capitals. In other words, Dhoni's batting is creating more discussion than Delhi Capitals' victory. Only Mahi-Mahi is heard everywhere. All this is happening because of his unbeaten inning of 37 runs on just 16 balls. Along with this inning, Mahendra Singh Dhoni also made many records in his name in Visakhapatnam.

Captain Cool i.e. Mahendra Singh Dhoni made 4 new records in Visakhapatnam. First record, became the first Asian wicketkeeper to complete 7000 runs in T20. Another record, Dhoni has scored the most runs of 20 or more in an over among Indians. Third record in Dhoni's name, becoming the first wicketkeeper batsman to complete 5000 runs in IPL. Fourth record, became the first batsman to hit 100 sixes in the 19th and 20th overs in IPL.

MS Dhoni became the first Asian batsman to score 7000 runs as a wicketkeeper in T20Is. Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan (6962) and Kamran Akmal (6454) are in the list.

Most times 20 runs in an over

MS Dhoni has scored 20 runs in an over 9 times in an IPL innings, which is the most number of times. He scored 20 runs in the last over of Enrich Norcia. The names of Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, Virender Sehwag, Yusuf Pathan and Hardik Pandya are included in this list. Rohit Sharma scored 8 runs, Rishabh Pant scored 6 runs, Virender Sehwag, Yusuf Pathan and Hardik Pandya scored 20 runs 5 times each.

MS Dhoni has become the first batsman in IPL history to score 5000 or more runs as a wicketkeeper. This list includes Dinesh Karthik with 4233 runs, Robin Uthappa with 3011 runs, Quinton de Kock with 2812 runs and Rishabh Pant with 2737 runs.

First batsman to hit 100 sixes

MS Dhoni became the first batsman to hit 100 sixes in the 19th and 20th overs of an IPL innings. Kieron Pollard 57, AB de Villiers 55, Hardik Pandya 55, Andre Russell 51 and Ravindra Jadeja are in this list with 46 sixes.
