On the information of Anti Gangster Task Force Police Headquarters, the notorious criminal of Dholpur district Mahesh Thakur son Harvilas (50) (resident of Nagla Darvesha police station Baseri) has been arrested by the Basedi police station of Dholpur from Hajipur railway station in Vaishali district of Bihar. The arrested criminal is included in the list of top ten wanted criminals and is a history sheeter with a reward of twenty five thousand rupees.
Additional Director General of Police (Anti Gangster Task Force) and Crime, Dinesh MN said that the AGTF team received information that Mahesh Thakur, a history-sheeter of Police Station Basedi and a reward of twenty-five thousand rupees on his head, is absconding in Imphal, Manipur and is coming towards Madhya Pradesh by train today.
On this information, the AGTF team immediately informed Dholpur SP Sumit Mehrada. On this, the SP dispatched Baseri police station and DST. Where the police detained the accused Mahesh Thakur from Hajipur railway station in Vaishali district of Bihar and brought him to Basedi police station. After interrogation, the police station arrested him. Nineteen serious criminal cases are registered against the arrested criminal in Basedi and Bari police stations of Dholpur and Gwalior district of Madhya Pradesh. Along with threatening to kill the victim to capture the land registered at Baseri police station, the accused was wanted in four other cases. A reward of Rs 25 thousand was announced by SP Dholpur for his arrest.
AGTF's ASI Shailendra Kumar and constable Brijesh Kumar played a special and technical role in this entire operation. Station officer of Baseri Brijesh Meena, head constable Makhan Singh from DST Dholpur, constable Ashwin Pachauri, Chandrabhan Singh and driver Krishna Chandra were involved in the arrest.
