DHBVN appointed executive engineer as security officer for the first time

Gurugram, August 8 (HS). To ensure that there is no threat to life or property of the citizens and no person or employee faces any harm due to the power lines, South Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam has appointed an Executive Engineer as the Safety Officer. This is the first time in DHBVN that an Executive Engineer has been given the responsibility of Safety Officer.

Recent observations have highlighted the dangerous conditions of electrical assets of consumer residences such as power lines, poles, transformers, feeder poles, meters and meter boxes installed on poles. These pose serious safety concerns. Sometimes leading to fatal and non-fatal accidents.

He said that in view of this, information about any kind of danger related to electricity lines can be given directly to the headquarters. Meena said that the staff working in the field at the SDO level, junior engineer, foreman, lineman, assistant line staff have to run an intensive safety campaign. With the participation of the SDO, all the area in-charge ALM, LM, AFM and JE will remove the shortcomings and defects of the system as per their area-wise responsibilities. By running a complete safety campaign in the area within the next 15 days, the entire area will be improved at the very beginning.
