Dhar: ASI survey continues on 88th day in historic Bhojshala

Bhopal, June 17 (HS). On the orders of the Indore Bench of Madhya Pradesh High Court, the survey of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) department continued for the 88th day on Monday at the historic Bhojshala of Dhar. A team of eight ASI officials along with 39 workers reached the Bhojshala premises at 8 am and came out at 5 pm. Here the team worked for about nine hours using modern equipment in a scientific manner. Gopal Sharma, Ashish Goyal of the Hindu side and Abdul Samad Khan of the Muslim side were also present with the survey team.

On the 88th day of the survey on the lines of Gyanvapi, the soil was removed from the sanctum sanctorum of Bhojshala. Here, while removing the soil in the North-East, the base of the pillars was found. Hindu party Gopal Sharma said that today the soil was removed from the north-eastern side of the sanctum sanctorum of Bhojshala. Along with this, photography and videography was also done in the sanctum sanctorum. Photography of the old remains present here has also been done. The soil that was removed earlier inside has been labeled. Along with this, the documentation work has also been completed today.

The ASI team has to present the survey report in the court in the first week of July, for which only 15 days are left. In such a situation, the team members are completely focused on completing the survey as well as the documentation process. The carvings on the pillar pieces along with the inscription found here a day earlier were also examined by the team on Monday.
