Dhanbad Railway Division has once again succeeded in maintaining the record of being the most profitable railway division in the country by carrying the maximum amount of freight from April to November. Along with this, many important works are also being done in passenger facilities.
DRM Kamal Kishore Sinha of Dhanbad Railway Division said today that once again Dhanbad Railway Division has succeeded in remaining the best railway division of the country in terms of income by transporting the maximum 125.95 million tonnes of freight. He said that till the month of November, Dhanbad Railway Division has earned an income of Rs 2087 crore. Bilaspur Railway Division, which was at second position, has transported 122.06 million tonnes of goods. He said that apart from this, ticket checking has also created awareness among the passengers. Due to which there has been an increase of 10 percent in ticket purchases here, while in view of passenger facilities, works like providing new trains, new stoppages, rail coaches, restaurants along with RUB-ROB are going on.
