Dhamtari, April 30 (HS). The police have arrested five accused in the murder case that took place during a wedding ceremony in Bhasbod, which includes two children in conflict with the law.
According to the information received from the police, on April 21, Chandrakumar Dhruv, resident of Chhataud village, along with his family members and other people of the village, had come to the house of Tikeshwar Dhruv, resident of village Bhaisbod, with a wedding procession. The wedding procession was going towards the bride's house with DJ and baja, the boys of the wedding procession and the gharati were dancing and singing, when at some distance away from the bride's house, near the first square, there was a mutual exchange of words between the boys of the wedding procession and the gharati over the matter of dancing and singing. Disputes and fighting started. Then Ravikumar Tarak killed the deceased Rakesh Dhruv, a boy who had come to the wedding procession, in the chest with the knife he was carrying. Hariprem Nirmalkar was injured by stabbing him near his stomach. Seeing Rakesh Dhruv and Hariprem Nirmalkar being beaten, the boy who was in conflict with the law and the accused Narottam Dhruv got angry and hit Ravikumar Tarak in the stomach, both of them ran away from there and sat in the wedding procession. The deceased Ravikumar Tarak was taken to Bathena Hospital, Dhamtari for treatment in his injured condition, where he died. After the Panchnama proceedings of the dead body, on receipt of the death diary, the police registered a case against unknown accused and started investigation.
During the investigation under the direction of senior officers, outpost Birejhar police and cyber team searched about 200 CCTV cameras to trace the unknown accused, on which the accused were also identified. The suspects were interrogated. On the basis of statements from the witnesses present there, identification process has been conducted to find out the addresses of the accused who stabbed them. Narottam Dhruv, Ayush Sahu and Pokharaj Yadav, accused of murder of the deceased Ravi Tarak and two children who were in conflict with the law were identified. A crime was registered against the knife used by Ayush Sahu in the incident and accused Narottam Dhruv deliberately hiding the evidence. All the accused have been arrested and sent on judicial remand and the child in conflict with the law has been sent to the Juvenile Justice Board.
The accused include Narottam Dhruv, 18 years and five months, village Chhataud police station Tilda district Raipur, Ayush Sahu, 19 years old, village Heermi police station Suhela district Balodabazar, Pokharaj Yadav, 21 years old, village Sarsopuri police station Arjuni district Dhamtari. Two children in conflict with the law are included. In the said proceedings, police station in-charge Kurud, outpost in-charge Birejhar and staff, cyber in-charge and cyber team played a commendable role.
