Dehradun, March 14 (HS). Dhami Cabinet on Thursday approved many important points under the Transport Department, including Uttarakhand Clean Mobility Transformation Policy 2024, Van Panchayat Amendment Policy, Uttarakhand Sanskrit Education Manual, Personnel Department, etc. to encourage Kailash walking journey.
The cabinet meeting started under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the Secretariat on Thursday evening. After the meeting, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli gave a briefing. It has been decided to encourage Adi Kailash walking tour and promote home stays in the area.
Uttarakhand Clean Mobility Transformation Policy 2024 approved under Transport Department. It will start as a pilot project in Dehradun. It can be expanded further with the permission of the high-powered committee. City bus and Vikram operators will be encouraged to purchase environment friendly electric and CNG vehicles through subsidies etc. The Transport Department will be the nodal department for the implementation of the said policy. An incentive policy has been introduced to promote Vikram operators, old city buses running on diesel and petrol.
Van Panchayat Amendment Rules have been approved. Eco tourism etc. will be promoted. A joint committee of Forest Department and Revenue Department will be formed.
Amendments to the seniority rules have been approved under the Personnel Department. Now instead of one selection there will be one selection year. Under the Urban Development Department, 0.9 hectare land will be transferred to Haridwar Development Authority for the construction of Unity Mall in Haridwar. Under the Justice Department, there is one post each for Junior Assistant, Personal Assistant and Counselor in the family courts in Bageshwar, Champawat, Chamoli, Pithoragarh, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi districts. A total of 18 posts have been approved in six districts. Family courts will be established in Dehradun, Haridwar and Roorkee and 9 posts have been approved.
Capital grants permissible for existing city bus operators:
Option “A”: 50% of vehicle cost (ex-showroom price) (maximum Rs. 15 lakh) on new CNG/Alternative fuel bus (25 to 32 seats) on production of vehicle scrapping certificate and valid permit from Transport Department, Uttarakhand. A grant will be given.
Option “B”: 40 percent of the cost (ex-showroom price) for purchase of new CNG/alternative fuel bus (25 to 32 seats) on valid surrender certificate issued by the Transport Department without scrapping the vehicle (maximum Rs. 12 lakhs) ) will be given. If option “B” is selected, the city bus operators will not scrap the vehicle. The owner will be issued a no objection certificate to operate in another state.
Permissible capital grant for existing Vikram operator
Option “A”: A subsidy of 50 percent (maximum Rs. 15 lakh) of the cost (ex-showroom price) will be given for the purchase of new CNG/alternative fuel bus (25 to 32 seats) on production of vehicle scrapping certificate.
Option “B”: 40 percent of the vehicle (ex-showroom price) (maximum Rs. 12 lakh) will be given capital grant for the purchase of new CNG/alternative fuel bus (25 to 32 seats).
Option “C: Vikram operators having valid permit for conversion to new CNG/alternative fuel omni bus BS VI will be given a capital grant of 50 percent of the vehicle cost, maximum Rs. 03 lakh 50 thousand, as an adjusted incentive in the ratio of 1:1.
