Udham Singh Nagar (Rudrapur), 28 September (HIST). Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP) Abhinav Kumar inspected the police line and police office on Saturday. Besides, instructions were given to officers and employees to improve law and order and curb crimes. After this the DGP interacted with representatives of various organizations. During this, the representatives raised issues like overloading, traffic system, crime against women, drug addiction.

Kichha MLA Tilak Raj Behar said that road accidents are continuously happening due to overloaded vehicles. He demanded a ban on overloaded vehicles. Rudrapur MLA Shiv Arora stressed on the use of CCTV cameras to control crimes. In the Jan Samvad programme, the DGP said that trust and communication between the police and the public is necessary to control crimes. He said that police officers should work with honesty, impartiality and determination in committing heinous crimes. The public dialogue was conducted by SP City Manoj Katyal. During this, SSP Manikant Mishra, Trade Board President Sanjay Juneja, Surjit Singh Grover, Diwakar Pandey, Anand Rungta, Shrikar Sinha, Rajesh Dubey, CO Nivedita Tomar etc. were present.
