The police headquarters is serious about the Jharkhand General Graduate Qualification Combined Competitive Examination organized by Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission (JSSC). This examination will be held on 21 and 22 September at a total of 823 centers in the state. On Friday, DGP Anurag Gupta has issued strict instructions to the Zonal IG, DIG of the range and SSP, SP of the district regarding the examination.

The DGP has instructed everyone to conduct a fair and malpractice-free examination. The DGP has asked to keep the security system tight during the examination. Temporary control rooms have been set up at the district level. It has also been asked to ensure that digital gadgets are not used at the examination centers. The DGP has instructed to monitor the examination centers with CCTV cameras, ensure monitoring at every level, and also keep an eye on social media. Information regarding any illegal activity or suspicious person can be given to the Superintendent of Police of the concerned district, control room and the number issued by the districts.

In the order issued, the DGP has said that in order to ensure that no rumours or false news related to paper leak are spread through social media, keep a close watch on rumour mongers. Take immediate and strict legal action against those who defame the examination. The DGP has directed to install CCTV cameras in and around the strong rooms made in each district to keep the question papers safe, keep a close watch on the places of stay of the candidates coming from outside in the districts such as hotels, lodges, resorts, guest houses etc., do continuous checking, install CCTV cameras at the main gate in addition to the premises of the examination centres, keep a close watch on the use of electronic equipment in and around the examination centres, properly check the candidates coming to the examination centre, coordinate with GRP and RPF to keep a watch at the time of arrival and departure of trains, take details of the persons coming and staying during the examination through all the police stations from the owners of all the hotels, lodges, resorts, guest houses etc. located in the police station area. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Hemant Soren had given necessary guidelines to all the districts in a review meeting regarding the examination on Thursday. He also asked the officials to conduct a fair and malpractice-free examination.
