DGP and other officers paid tribute to the martyrs on Police Remembrance Day

Ranchi, 21 October (HS). A parade was organized on Police Remembrance Day on Monday at ZAP-1 complex located in Doranda, Ranchi. From DGP Ajay Kumar Singh to all the senior officials of the police headquarters were present in this ceremony. Everyone remembered the martyrs on Police Remembrance Day and paid tribute at the Martyr Memorial located in the JAP campus.

On the occasion, DGP Ajay Kumar Singh said that the martyred policemen always inspire us to do better in the line of duty. On this day, we should remember only the martyrs and also think about how to help their families.

This year, a total of 216 officers and soldiers of the country's paramilitary force and police forces of various states have attained martyrdom while displaying indomitable courage. In this, Jharkhand's Havildar Chauhan Hembram was martyred in an attack by a prisoner on August 12 while on deputation for the security of a convicted prisoner. On the other hand, constables Sikandar Singh and Sukan Ram were martyred in a Naxalite attack on February 7 in Chatra district. Apart from this, constable Ramdev Mahato had sacrificed his life in the encounter with the criminals. All the officers and personnel of Jharkhand Police will always stand with the families of the martyrs.
