Ladakh, 19 November (HS). Lieutenant General Sadhna S Nair DGMS (Army) and Senior Colonel Commandant of the Army Medical Corps (AMC) visited Siachen Base Camp and forward areas. During this, he interacted with the soldiers and expressed the nation’s pride in their service in the world’s highest battlefield.
During his visit, he reviewed medical operations and logistics at Siachen Base Camp and inspected the newly established military hospital at Pratappur, officials said on Tuesday. Paying homage to the martyrs, he laid flowers at the Siachen War Memorial and honored the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The DGMS also appreciated the Army Medical Corps, Army Dental Corps and Military Nursing staff for their vital role in maintaining the health and morale of the deployed troops and providing comprehensive medical support in the challenging conditions of the Siachen Glacier.
