Ranchi, March 13 (HS). The hearing of the PIL of MP Nishikant Dubey regarding providing basic facilities in Deoghar AIIMS was held in Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday. During the hearing, DG Fire Anil Palta appeared virtually in the court. On his behalf, the court was told that two hydraulic machines will be brought from Finland for fire fighting in Deoghar AIIMS, which will be capable of extinguishing fire in buildings higher than 24 floors.
This hydraulic machine from Finland will come to Deoghar AIIMS in 24 months. This will cost Rs 26 crore 85 lakh. A tender was floated in this regard. On this, the court asked DG Fire that if any kind of accident happens in Deoghar AIIMS in the meantime, how will it be handled. On this it was said from his side that about 15 small machines would be brought immediately to deal with such accidents. On this, the court directed DG Fire to present these things through an affidavit in the next hearing. The court has scheduled the next hearing of the case on April 8. A division bench headed by Justice Sujit Narayan Prasad heard the case.
The court has also directed the Drinking Water Sanitation Department to file a reply. On behalf of AIIMS Deoghar, it has been said that they require three million liters of water per day, how will the drinking water department provide it. The court has also asked the Energy Department to file an affidavit regarding the measures being taken to provide electricity at Deoghar AIIMS.
On the other hand, the court has also directed Deoghar DC to file a reply as to what steps he is taking to earmark land for setting up a central school for the children of Deoghar AIIMS personnel.
