Mathura, 09 November (HS). On the second day of Kartik Utsav, a procession of Lord Sri Sri Radha Vrindavan Chandra was organized in Vrindavan Chandrodaya Temple late Saturday evening. During this time, Sri Sri Radha Vrindavan Chandra, seated in a golden chariot, mesmerized her devotees by giving her darshan. Before this procession, devotees selected different types of flowers and decorated the temple courtyard and chariot with special types of flowers.
During the procession organized at Chandrodaya Temple in the series of three-day Kartik festival, Thakur Shri Shri Radha Vrindavan Chandra was dressed in specially made clothes, seated in a palanquin by the devotees, and seated on a chariot for the procession from the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. After this, the sight of Sri Sri Radha Vrindavan Chandra seated on the chariot was removed and Sohni Seva was performed in the understanding of the chariot. After the Aarti, the devotees showered flowers on Radha Vrindavan, chanting Jai, and took her around the entire temple premises.
After the procession, the devotees received blessings by donating lamps while reciting Damodar Ashtakam to Radha Vrindavan Chandra. Today, on this auspicious festival, the devotees from various centers of ISKCON Bangalore offered their prayers to the devotees coming to the temple premises through Harinam Sankirtan.
Mathura Vrindavan assembly constituency MLA Shrikant Sharma was present in the program. Many devotees from Mathura, Agra, Delhi, Noida and other cities reached Vrindavan to participate in this festival.
