Announcement of the name of the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra: Today the name of the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra has been announced. BJP has announced the name of veteran leader Devendra Fadnavis for the post of Chief Minister. He will take oath at Azad Maidan on 5th December.
A consensus has been reached on the name of Devendra Fadnavis in the meeting of BJP MLAs. Devendra Fadnavis has been elected leader in the meeting of MLAs being held today. BJP-appointed Central Inspector Nirmala Sitharaman and former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani are also present in this meeting.
The swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Minister of Maharashtra will take place tomorrow on 5th December at 5 pm at Azad Maidan in South Mumbai. The ceremony will be attended by PM Narendra Modi, several Union ministers and chief ministers of NDA-ruled states.
Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the third time. Before this, he had become the Chief Minister of the state for the first time from 2014 to 2019. In 2019, he became the Chief Minister for only 80 hours.
