After this, the Governor approved the oath ceremony of the new government at 5.30 pm on Thursday. On this occasion, Shiv Sena Shinde Group President Eknath Shinde, Nationalist Congress Party Ajit Pawar Group President Ajit Pawar, Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, BJP National General Secretary Vinod Tawde, former Union Minister Praful Patel were present. .
The meeting of newly elected MLAs of Bharatiya Janata Party was held at Vidhan Bhavan on Wednesday. In this meeting, Devendra Fadnavis was elected the leader of the BJP legislature party. After this, NCP AP President Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis went to Varsha government residence to meet caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. There was a discussion between these three leaders regarding the formation of the future government. After this, today Devendra Fadnavis along with Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar went to Raj Bhavan and met the Governor and staked claim to form the government.
Devendra Fadnavis said that today he met the Governor along with Shiv Sena Shinde Group President Eknath Shinde, NCP AP President Ajit Pawar and staked claim to form the government on behalf of the NDA allies. After seeing the letter, the Governor has given us approval to form the government. Therefore, the oath ceremony of our government will take place on Thursday evening. All three of us are going to sit together and decide the names of ministers. Devendra Fadnavis said that there are many challenges before our government. Efforts will be made to fulfill the promises we have made to the public during the election campaign.
NCP AP President Ajit Pawar said that he has supported the formation of the government under the leadership of Devendra Fadnavis, so there will be no problem in the work. Shiv Sena Shinde Group President Eknath Shinde said that we have supported Devendra Fadnavis to form the government. Before this we all were working together in the interest of the public. Shinde said that position is not important, we have to give priority to the development work of the people.
