Moradabad, July 14 (HS). The Vishnoi Environment Committee of Uttar Pradesh organized the release and felicitation ceremony of the book “Amrit Mahotsav” on the 90th birthday of environment lover Yogendra Pal Vishnoi at Panchayat Bhawan Moradabad on Sunday evening. The chief guest was Devendra Budhiya, head of All India Vishnoi Mahasabha Rajasthan, and special guests were Pranavand Ji Maharaj and Krishna Nand Ji Maharaj.
Chief guest Devendra Budhiya, while describing the achievements of Vishnoi community, said that 363 Vishnois sacrificed their lives under the leadership of Amrita Devi Vishnoi to protect the green Khejari trees. Vishnois are pure vegetarians. Vishnois are pure vegetarians and are a community that plays an important role in protecting wildlife and environment.
He further said that people of Vishnoi community are mostly farmers and do animal husbandry. There are many examples of their struggle to save nature and wildlife. Program President MLC Salil Vishnoi said that Vishnoi society has an important role in environmental protection and forest and wildlife conservation.
