Vanbandhu Kalyan Yojana has improved the level of education of daughters and the literacy rate in the tribal community has increased. Now higher education facilities including engineering and medical colleges are available in tribal areas. Eight medical colleges are in tribal areas including Valsad, Dahod, Banaskantha, Godhra (Panchmahal).

He called upon everyone to be committed to making developed India from developed Gujarat. Patel said that under Dharti Aaba Tribal Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, the target is to benefit more than five crore forest people of more than 63 thousand tribal villages of the country.
