Develop physical facilities in schools by December at any cost: Vaibhav Chaudhary | News India

Saharsa, September 10 (HS). In a meeting held on Tuesday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Vaibhav Chaudhary, the work done so far in the direction of compliance of the instructions given in the previous meeting by the identified implementing agency for developing physical facilities from the state fund according to the standards set on a wide scale in the government schools of primary, middle, secondary and higher secondary in the district was reviewed and appropriate guidelines were given.

In the course of review, the identified technical departments have been directed to take necessary action towards completion of the works related to school infrastructure by December 2024. Accordingly, PHED, Local Area Engineering Organization, Rural Works Department, Saharsa and Simri Bakhtiyarpur have been directed to take necessary action to publish the work related tender this week.

It is known that Local Area Engineering Organization, Saharsa has been identified as the implementing agency for repairing toilets in 1448 government schools, construction of toilets for boys and girls in 947 government schools, construction of kitchens in 403 government schools. Electrical Works Division, Building Construction Department has been selected for electrification related work in 1124 government schools. Rural Works Department, Saharsa Simri Bakhtiyarpur has been entrusted with the responsibility of construction of additional classrooms in 1092 government schools, 79 new school buildings, repairs, renovation in 2731 schools and construction of boundary walls in 642 schools. While PHED has been identified for construction of necessary structure for availability of drinking water in 713 government schools. The concerned technical departments have been directed to implement the prescribed work in a quality manner as per the standards. Deputy Development Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Nirala, District Education Officer and other concerned were present in the meeting.
