Develop a roadmap for better medical facilities in the entire state: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Bhopal, 19 February (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that a roadmap should be developed to provide better medical facilities in all the districts and development blocks of the state by coordinating the health department, medical education, AYUSH institutions and private hospitals. An action plan should also be made for filling the posts of doctors and paramedical staff. Medical colleges and Ayurvedic colleges should also be given targets to improve the health indices of the state. These institutions should be included in the efforts to improve the health indices of the areas where private institutions are establishing their colleges.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the meeting of Public Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Department in the Ministry on Monday. He said that it is our endeavor to develop one medical college in all the 29 Lok Sabha constituencies of the state and with time a medical college will be started in every district. By establishing an ideal health system in the state, we will set the best example in the country.

Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Public Health and Family Welfare Minister Narendra Shivaji Patel, Chief Secretary Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Health Mohammad Suleman and other senior officials were present in the meeting. In the meeting, a presentation was given on the ongoing activities and upcoming plans under public health and family welfare and medical education.

Reward paramedical staff, doctors and health institutions providing better services.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that it is necessary to ensure that the facilities being provided to the general public by the Health Department are provided to the needy without any difficulty. It is necessary to ensure that distortions do not arise in the system from the district hospital to the primary health centre. The Chief Minister expressed the need to form flying squads to inspect health institutions. He said that efforts should be made to continuously encourage the staff of the Health Department to maintain a spirit of activism and dedication towards serving the people. A system should be established to reward and honor paramedical staff, doctors and health institutions who provide better services.

There should be provision of free dead bodies in government hospitals.

The Chief Minister said that arrangements should be made to provide health facilities to elderly people or those living alone in emergency situations. He expressed the need to install Cathlab in division and district level government hospitals. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that arrangements should be made to provide dead bodies in case of death in government hospitals. If needed, Red Cross, Patient Welfare Committee or Civil Surgeon should provide free dead bodies to the concerned family members.

Discussion on topics related to health programs

In the meeting, issues related to National Health Mission, hospital buildings, available human resources, important health programs, services operated on PPP mode in hospitals, Ayushman Bharat, PM-JAY, medical colleges and nursing colleges and expansion of MBBS curriculum in Hindi were discussed.
