Mumbai: Junior NTR and Janhvi Kapoor's film 'Devra' has earned more than Rs 120 crore in two days. However, the film is mostly released in Telugu. The Hindi version did not benefit from Janhvi Kapoor's presence.
The film earned Rs 73 crore on the first day and Rs 29 crore on the second day in Telugu. In contrast, Hindi has earned only Rs 7 crore on the first day and Rs 9 crore on the second day. According to trade pundits, there may be a big decline in the earnings of the Hindi version of the film from Monday.
The earnings of Shraddha Kapoor and Raj Kumar Rao starrer Stree 2 were expected to decline after the release of the film. But this did not happen.
Janhvi Kapoor made her Telugu debut with this film. Apart from Janhvi, the makers have also signed stars like Saif Ali Khan keeping in mind the North Indian box office. Janhvi's dance song from this film also went viral. But, it has not seen any significant impact on the ticket market. Janhvi also did a lot of promotion for the film in Tamil Nadu.
During the promotion, he mesmerized the fans by speaking Tamil loudly. But, in the first two days the film has earned Rs 2 crore in Tamil.
