Ayodhya, 7 December (Hindustan Reporter). Yogi government, which is always concerned about the protection of cows, has once again taken care of them. A week-long conservation campaign will be conducted to protect the destitute cattle. It has started from Saturday. It will end on 14th December. 71 cow shelters are operating in the district. Maximum is 32 in Milkipur. Dr. Ajay Kanojia, a nodal officer from one government, has been appointed to keep an eye on the campaign. He will inform the government about all the activities here.
Block Development Officer to nominate the Panchayat Secretary-Rural Development Officer of the concerned Gram Panchayat as the nodal officer for the protection of destitute cattle at every Nyaya Panchayat level. In urban areas, the nodal officer is to be nominated by the Municipal Commissioner and Executive Officer. Hot spots of destitute cattle will be identified in the district at the level of Chief Veterinary Officer. The number of remaining destitute cattle will be assessed development block wise and municipal body wise. In every Nyaya Panchayat area, the mobile numbers of the nodal officers and officials concerned with the protection of destitute cattle should be widely publicized and disseminated.
Ear tag will be worn only at the time of conservation
District Magistrate Chandra Vijay Singh said that ear tags will be installed at the cow shelter only at the time of conservation. Details of cow progeny will be uploaded on the Go Ashray portal. On receiving information about straying of destitute cattle from hot spots and other places, a team will be moved to catch the cattle and take them to the cow shelter. During the “Special Cow Protection Campaign”, cow protection will be assessed only on the basis of entry of cows on the Cow Shelter portal. Therefore, it is mandatory to tag every newly protected cow and upload its details on the portal. Government’s instructions – The arrangements for the maintenance of cows in cowsheds should be further improved. There are 71 cow shelters operating in the district, out of which there are approximately 32 cow shelters in Milkipur area. At present about 15 thousand cows are protected.
Markets and residential areas will be free
Action will be taken on priority to free national highways, urban areas, markets, markets and residential areas from destitute cattle.
Meanwhile, the nodal officer nominated by the government, Dr. Ajay Kumar Kannaujiya, reached Ayodhya district and met Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal, gave information about cow protection and requested to direct the concerned so that the district can be freed from stray animals while preserving as many destitute cows as possible.
