The match played between Rest of India and Mumbai at Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow was a draw, but Mumbai team won on the basis of lead in the first innings. The hero of Mumbai's victory was Sarfaraz Khan, who scored an unbeaten 222 runs while scoring a double century in the first innings. Sarfaraz received the Player of the Match award.

In the match, Rest of India won the toss and decided to bowl first. Mumbai team came out to bat. Mumbai scored 537 runs in its first innings. Sarfaraz Khan proved to be the biggest hero for Mumbai in the first innings. Middle-order batsman Sarfaraz batted brilliantly and scored an unbeaten double century. He scored 222 runs playing 286 balls and hit 25 fours and 4 sixes in his innings. Apart from Sarfaraz, captain Ajinkya Rahane scored 97 runs in 234 balls. Tanush Kotian scored 64 runs in 124 balls, Shreyas Iyer scored 57 runs and Shardul Thakur scored 36 runs.
