Despite the increasing crowd of passengers, the administration is busy in overcoming the challenges.

Rudraprayag, 20 May (HS). Many challenges are being faced by the administration during Kedarnath Yatra. The biggest challenge is to control the increasing number of passengers and then provide them darshan easily. However, in the journey so far, the administration has successfully overcome every challenge.

Despite the huge influx of passengers, the arrangements are under control. Whatever shortcomings are coming to light, the administration is continuously engaged in removing those shortcomings. After the opening of the doors, maximum number of 34,893 pilgrims have visited Baba Kedar on Sunday, while till now more than three lakh pilgrims have visited Baba Kedar.

Amidst the increasing number of pilgrims in Kedarnath, the administration has also increased the arrangements. The biggest achievement this time has been achieved by the administration in the field of health. First aid and oxygen facilities are soon being provided to the pilgrims in the Dham including the walking route. This time the administration has also increased medical facilities on Aastha Path in Kedarnath Dham. If any passenger falls ill while standing in the queue, he is also given prompt treatment. More than twenty thousand passengers have been treated so far, while more than eight hundred passengers have been provided oxygen facilities.

District Magistrate Dr. Saurabh Gaharwar is monitoring the Yatra all the time. As per the rules, DM is inspecting the Kedarnath pilgrimage route highway and the Dham and while discussing with the officers, employees and soldiers posted on Yatra duty, he is giving instructions to provide the best facilities to the pilgrims. When a large number of passengers are arriving in Sonprayag, a limited number of passengers are being sent forward. So that the passengers can easily get the facility of shuttle service and horse-mule, dandi-kandi to go to Kedarnath Dham. This time the pilgrims reaching Kedarnath Dham also do not have to get wet in the rain while standing in the queue for darshan. Rain shelters have been built on Astha Path.
