Kanpur, 17 February (HS). Most of the countries in the world have been trying to protect intellectual property rights by making various types of laws for centuries. But people have also developed many ways to steal intellectual property and misuse of technology is also a matter of concern in this direction. This was said by the keynote speaker, Dr. Renu, Principal Scientist of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Krishi Bhawan, New Delhi, while addressing a one-day workshop on the topic of Intellectual Property Rights at the Dean Faculty Auditorium of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur on Saturday.
He also discussed various types of Intellectual Property Rights Acts implemented in the country. Various aspects of trade secret property law like trademarks, patents, farmers rights, copyrights etc. were also highlighted in detail.
On this occasion, the program was presided over by the University's Director of Research, Dr. PK Singh, who said that currently a lot of cases of theft and violation of intellectual property are being seen. He said that intellectual property can be protected by making people aware about intellectual property rights and by implementing strict rules in this direction.
Before this, the first guests formally inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, Director of this school, Shodh said that every person should be aware of the rights of intellectual property. So that its increasing misuse can be stopped. Dr. UK Dubey from ICAR New Delhi, Ravi Pandey from IIT Kanpur, Dr. Divyanshu Shukla from CSJMU and Dr. Brijesh Singh from HBTU also delivered lectures in the workshop.
Program organizer Dr. Munish Kumar said that we all should have information about intellectual property rights. However, there are many challenges before it which can be successful in this direction by having knowledge of intellectual property law. This one-day workshop was sponsored by the Council of Science and Technology, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. The program was conducted by Dr. Kaushal Kumar. Teachers, researchers and students were present in this program.
