Dhaka: Amidst the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, the Yunus government of Bangladesh has demanded relief from India. He has gone a step further and demanded that India increase the number of visas for its citizens. After this, Bangladesh’s advisor on Environment, Forest and Climate Change Syeda Rizwana Hasan said that India has assured to increase the number of visas for Bangladeshi citizens.
It is well known that after the fall of Sheikh Hasina’s government, political instability has started in the country. This has created a crisis for the minorities in Bangladesh. But its relations with India have also deteriorated.
The Dhaka Tribunal says that India’s Foreign Secretary Mistry spoke to Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Mohammad Jasimuddin and other leaders. Then Syeda Rizwana Hasan said, ‘Mistry assured to expedite the visa extension process to strengthen relations between India and Bangladesh.’
During this conversation, the situation of Hindus was also discussed between the two leaders. In which the Bangladesh authorities also promised to take all necessary steps.
Currently, Bangladeshi citizens are given visas to visit India for medical treatment. Apart from this, visas are given to its businessmen for essential reasons. Students are given visas for study. Among Bangladesh’s demands to increase their numbers, there was greater emphasis on medical treatment. Vikram Mistry assured this.
