Rohtak, 2 October (Hindustan Reporter). Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim was released from Rohtak's Sunarian Jail on Wednesday morning after getting 20 days parole. During his release on parole, he will stay in Barnawa Ashram in UP.
Congress had expressed its objection regarding the parole of Ram Rahim and had written a letter to the Election Commission regarding this, saying that it is not right to grant parole to Ram Rahim at this time, it could affect the voting.
Amidst security, Ram Rahim has left for UP from jail. At around 5 am on Wednesday morning, a commotion started outside Sunariya jail and the security of the jail premises was also increased. Ram Rahim was released from jail amid tight police security after his attendance at around 6.30 in the morning. Recently, Ram Rahim returned to jail on September 4 after serving 21 days of furlough.
The Election Commission has also imposed some conditions on the parole of Ram Rahim. He will not stay in Haryana during the parole period nor will he be active on social media and will stay away from election activities, if the conditions are violated then the parole will be canceled immediately.
On Tuesday, Congress had also expressed its objection regarding the release of Ram Rahim and complained to the Election Commission, but late in the night the government issued orders for the release of Ram Rahim and in the morning the administration released him. The administration has argued that as per the jail manual, Ram Rahim has been granted parole as per the rules and Ram Rahim had 20 days of parole left for this year. Like a prisoner, he will now get parole in the next year.
