Jammu, August 28 (HS). Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai chaired a meeting of the District Level Committee under Narco Coordination Mechanism in which measures to combat drug abuse in the district were reviewed and it was decided to strengthen them. Senior Superintendent of Police Amod Ashok Nagpure, Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan, Assistant Commissioner Development Dr. Ranjit Singh Kotwal and senior officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
Detailed discussions were held on monitoring of educational institutions, implementation of awareness programmes, drug-free panchayats and identification of drug abuse hotspots. Detailed discussions were held on the measures currently being taken in the district.
