Deputy Commissioner held a meeting with bank representatives regarding elections, gave many instructions

Ranchi, March 16 (Hindustan Reporter) Ranchi District Election Officer cum Deputy Commissioner Rahul Kumar Sinha held a meeting with the representatives of banks regarding the Lok Sabha elections in the Collectorate on Saturday. During this, the Deputy Commissioner gave many necessary instructions to the representatives of the concerned bank and asked them to ensure that all the guidelines of the Election Commission are followed.

The Deputy Commissioner told the representatives of all the banks that no candidate should spend more than Rs 95 lakh, if he spends more than this in the elections, his expenditure accounts will have to be audited by the expenditure accounting team.

These instructions were given

-Abnormal and suspicious cash withdrawal or deposit of cash in bank account in excess of Rs. One lakh during the election process, there should be no such incident of deposit or withdrawal during the last two months.

-Abnormal transfer of funds through RTGS from one bank account to the accounts of multiple individuals in one district constituency during the election process, without any such transfer being asked to be reported.

-Depositing or withdrawing cash more than Rs 1 lakh.

-Withdrawal and deposit of cash above Rs 1 lakh.

-Any other suspicious cash transaction, which could be used to bribe voters.

-Information about excess withdrawal from banks was asked to be given to the Income Tax Department.

-The concerned banks were asked to open the accounts of all the candidates.

– During elections, any customer withdrawing more than Rs 1 lakh from the bank should be given a QR code which the customer should keep with him so that the QR code can be shown if required.
