Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya said – war going on between Congress-SP

Keshav Prasad Maurya

Before the start of the assembly session in Uttar Pradesh, an important meeting of ministers, MLAs and Legislative Council members was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday. The meeting was held at Lok Bhawan in Lucknow, which was also attended by leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) allies. The main objective of this meeting was to conduct the assembly session starting from Monday smoothly and successfully.

Detailed discussion regarding assembly session

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath discussed in detail about the success of the assembly session in the meeting. He asked the MLAs and ministers to be prepared for the issues raised by the opposition during the session. The strategy to effectively present the government’s schemes and achievements was also discussed in the meeting. BJP leaders stressed on maintaining discipline and efficiency within the House.

Statement of Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya

After the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said while talking to the media,
“The BJP Legislative Party meets before the Assembly session. The assembly session is starting from tomorrow and the government wants the opposition to discharge its constructive responsibilities. If they have any question, they should put it in the House.”

Congress assembly siege on 18th December

During the meeting, the Congress Party’s announcement of gheraoing the Assembly on December 18 was also discussed. Responding to this issue, Keshav Prasad Maurya said,
“A Mahabharata-like struggle is going on between Congress and Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh. Both the parties are competing among themselves for the Muslim vote bank. The India alliance has now completely disintegrated. It is their right to gherao the Congress, but the issues on which they want to gherao can be said inside the House also.”

Presence of senior leaders in the meeting

Deputy CM Brijesh Pathak, State BJP President Bhupendra Chaudhary, Organization General Secretary Dharampal Singh and all the members of the Council of Ministers participated in this important meeting. All the senior leaders shared their views and discussed important strategies to make the assembly session successful.

Congress’s allegation: Appeasement to hide failures

The Congress party recently issued a statement saying that it will surround the Assembly on December 18 to corner the government on issues like law and order, unemployment and inflation. Congress leaders allege that,
“Yogi government is proving to be a failure on every front. To hide its failures, the government is adopting the strategy of religious appeasement.”

Congress also said that it is fully committed to exposing the failures of the government and will seek answers on these issues during the assembly siege.

Congress has only two MLAs

However, the number of Congress members in the assembly is only two. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see how effective their siege proves to be. What will be the impact of this Congress protest on 18th December, it will become clear on the same day. On the other hand, Yogi government has also made full preparations to counter this siege of Congress.
