Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya ji has extended hearty congratulations and best wishes to the country and the people of the state on the eve of the holy festival of Mahashivratri.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the holy festival of Mahashivratri is a festival of worship, faith, penance and introspection of Lord Shiva. This festival inspires us to follow the path of truth, restraint, compassion and service. By the grace of Lord Bholenath, may happiness, peace, prosperity and health reside in the lives of all the people of the state.

He said that the Uttar Pradesh government is committed to conduct all major religious and cultural events in the state in a safe, orderly and peaceful manner. On the occasion of Mahashivratri, instructions have been given to the concerned authorities to ensure proper arrangements for the convenience, security, cleanliness and traffic arrangements of the devotees in the major Shiva temples of the state.

The Deputy Chief Minister appealed to the people of the state to celebrate this holy festival with devotion, harmony and social harmony and cooperate with the administration in maintaining cleanliness and law and order.

In the end, he prayed to Lord Shiva that by his grace our country and state should continue to move forward on the path of progress and there should be mutual brotherhood and harmony in the society.
