Rajnandgaon/Raipur, March 13 (HS). Deputy Chief Minister and Minister in-charge of Rajnandgaon district Vijay Sharma held a review meeting of district officials in the Rajnandgaon Collectorate meeting room on Wednesday and reviewed various schemes and development works of the government. During this, MLA Dongargarh Mrs. Harshita Baghel, District Panchayat President Mrs. Geeta Sahu and other public representatives, Collector Sanjay Aggarwal, Superintendent of Police Mohit Garg, District Panchayat CEO Suruchi Singh were present.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma told all the officials that the public welfare schemes of the government should be implemented at the grassroots level. He said that working with the target under the National Rural Livelihood Mission, 10 products should be prepared and marketed through self-help groups. Working with a goal will yield excellent results.
He took information regarding Mahtari Vandan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Matritva Vandan Yojana under the Women and Child Development Department. All departments were instructed to work committedly for the implementation of government schemes. He said that Jal Jeevan Mission is an important scheme of the government. The proposal for this should be approved in the Gram Sabha. There is a need to work in a planned manner to overcome the problem of drinking water in the coming times. He gave instructions to ensure availability of drinking water during summers. He took information regarding drinking water in the district. He especially took information from the Electricity Department and Public Works Department regarding the pumps being given to the farmers.
He said that agricultural pumps are being used by farmers to facilitate irrigation during agricultural work. Solve the problems arising in this on priority. During the review of the Water Resources Department, he said that there is a need to increase the area under irrigation of farmers. He gave necessary directions to all the officers. On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister provided e-rickshaws to the beneficiaries.
