Keshav Prasad Maurya participated in the launch program of copies of the inscriptions of Emperor Ashoka the Great organized in Prayagraj district today and addressed the gathering. On this occasion, he described India’s ancient cultural heritage, moral values and the ideals of Emperor Ashoka as inspiring for the society.
In his address, the Deputy Chief Minister said that Emperor Ashoka was one of the great emperors in Indian history, who gave the highest place to morality, religion, compassion and public welfare in the governance system. Even today his inscriptions work to spread the message of truth, non-violence, tolerance and humanity to the people. He said that the launch of copies of the inscriptions of Emperor Ashoka is not just a cultural event but an important effort to pass on our glorious heritage to the new generation.
