Today, the grand inauguration of the Regional Saras Fair, a confluence of rural crafts, culture and self-employment, was done at the Parade Ground by the Deputy Chief Minister of the state, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya by lighting the lamp. On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister visited various stalls set up in the fair and appreciated the efforts of the women of rural self-help groups.
Cultural programs enthralled the audience on the first day of the fair:
• MP Ravi Kishan: Gorakhpur MP and famous actor Ravi Kishan, present as the chief guest, made the crowd dance by singing Bhojpuri songs in his familiar style. In between songs, he praised the public welfare achievements of the state and central government and told how the government is working for the upliftment of every section.
• Anamika Amber: Famous poetess Anamika Amber graced the program with her powerful and melodious poems. The crowd applauded his creations and the entire parade ground echoed with slogans of “Once more”.
• Trupti Shakya: Renowned singer Trupti Shakya presented devotional bhajans in her melodious voice, making the atmosphere completely spiritual and emotional.
