Deputy Chief Minister boosted the enthusiasm of women by inspecting the stalls of self-help groups, handed over keys, checks and citations to the beneficiaries of various schemes, provided nutritious food to pregnant women and provided food to infants.

Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya today participated as the chief guest in the ‘Village Chaupal’ and ‘Self Help Group’ conference organized at the Junior High School near Rajjanaki, Gram Panchayat Shahgarh, Development Block, Sathianv, Azamgarh District.

Intensive inspection of various stalls set up by Self Help Groups (SHGs) operating under the State Rural Livelihood Mission was carried out. Praising the products manufactured by women, he said that our mothers and sisters are today providing new strength to the rural economy by becoming self-reliant.

Housing and Employment: Under various schemes of the ‘Double Engine’ government, keys for house entry, checks of assistance amount and citations were distributed to the beneficiaries who did excellent work.

Nutrition and Health: Presented baskets of nutritious food to pregnant women under ‘Mission Shakti’ and ‘Nutrition Campaign’.

Annaprashan Sanskar: Shri Maurya performed the Annaprashan Sanskar of small children by feeding them kheer and wished for their bright future.
