Two Belgian Malinois warriors of CRPF's elite dog squad K9 have reached the French capital Paris to handle security arrangements for the Olympic Games. According to reports, 5-year-old Vast and 3-year-old Danby will be part of the 10-member K9 team providing security for the Paris Olympics starting next week.
For the first time, two teams will be from India for security
5-year-old Vast and 3-year-old Denby will be deployed to protect various venues in the Paris Olympics. Let us tell you that a total of 10 K9 teams will be responsible for security in the Olympics. The CRPF's K9 team is a specialised dog squad, which consists of Belgian Shepherd Malinois dogs. Apart from this, the dog handler is also a soldier in this team. The K9 team of dogs has the ability to detect explosives, ammunition and narcotics, due to which they will play an important role in the security of the Paris Olympics. The K9 dog squad will patrol various Olympic venues along with ensuring security.
Both dogs have been rigorously tested
CRPF said in its statement that 5-year-old Vast and 3-year-old Danby have been selected from India for this task. Both the dogs selected for the security of Paris Olympics have undergone several rigorous tests at CRPF's Dog Breeding and Training School. Highly trained dogs will play an important role in ensuring security at the Olympics.
