Deoria, 18 April (Hindustanism). District Magistrate Akhand Pratap Singh reached Baliyava village on Thursday to express deep grief over the death of a farmer in a fire incident. He expressed condolences with the bereaved family.
DM Akhand Pratap Singh and Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma took information about the accident from the post mortem house. Assured all possible support to the family in this hour of grief.
After this, the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police took stock of the crop damage caused by the fire in Gram Panchayat Gaura Khas. The DM directed the revenue personnel to conduct a quick survey of the crop damage caused by the fire. So that the farmers affected by the fire can be given timely compensation as per rules.
The District Magistrate requested the farmers to use the straw-ripper machine only after it is ensured that the crop has been harvested in all the nearby fields. An incident of fire caused by spark from the straw ripper machine is being observed. Keep a fire extinguisher or water with the combine machine being used for harvesting wheat, so that in case of fire, it can be controlled at the initial level itself. Do not throw smoldering beedis, cigarettes or matchsticks around the fields. Be especially cautious in case of westerly wind.
During this, officers including ADM Finance and Revenue Arun Kumar Rai, CO Sadar Sanjay Reddy were present.
