Deoghar will be seen in Koderma, more than one lakh Kanwariyas will participate in the 15 km long padyatra

Koderma, 11 August (HS). Performing Kanwar padayatra in the month of Saavan has special importance and offering water to the Shivling. 24 years ago, the religious organization Shri Ram Sankirtan Mandal started the 15 km long Kanwar padayatra in Koderma with only 65 Kanwariyas. This year, the silver jubilee of the event is being celebrated by organizing the 25th Kanwar padayatra.

At present, a large number of devotees from different areas of the district as well as from neighboring districts participate in this Kanwar Padyatra, whose number is more than one lakh. Bablu Singh, the coordinator of the Kanwar Padyatra organized by Shri Ram Sankirtan Mandal, said that there is a lot of enthusiasm in the district regarding the silver jubilee of the Kanwar Padyatra.

The city and the Kanwar Yatra route have been decorated with saffron flags. Along with the city, various social organizations have made many attractive arches to welcome the Kanwar pilgrims from Jharnakund Dham to Dhwajdhari Pahad. He said that on the 25th year, a 25 feet long attractive Kanwar will be taken out in the Kanwar Padyatra. The grand Kanwar Padyatra will start at 7 am on the fourth Monday of Sawan, 12 August, in which the devotees will collect water from Jharnakund in the Kalash and walk 15 kilometers to the Shiva temple in Dhwajdhari Dham and climb 777 stairs to the peak of Dhwajdhari Dham Pahad to perform Jalabhishek on Bholenath. For the devotees coming from far-flung areas of Koderma district and outside the district, arrangements have been made for night stay in Punjabi Dharamshala and dinner in the premises of Indarwa School.

During the Kanwar Padyatra, Shiva devotees associated with Akhara Samiti and Gym will participate in the 15-kilometer long Kanwar Padyatra by carrying 51, 71, 101 and 151 liters of water. The coordinator said that on the occasion of Silver Jubilee, many attractive tableaux will also be included in the Kanwar Padyatra this year. The tableau of Bhasma Aarti on a decorated vehicle by the team of Patna and Banaras, the tableau of Holi khele in the crematorium, 7 feet high Shivling of Mahakal, live tableau of Shiv family, Shri Ram Darbar tableau will attract the devotees a lot.
