Lucknow, June 24 (HS). Professor CM Singh, Director of Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, inaugurated Orthopantomograph (OPG) and Intraoral Periapical Radiograph (IOPAR) and Dental Lab services in the dental department of the institute on Monday. Now all types of dental services will be available to the patients of the institute in the department itself.
Prof. Shaili Mahajan told that it took almost 2 years of hard work to start these services through tender with the help of HRF department.
On this occasion a seminar was also conducted by the guest speaker Dr. Ghyasuddin Khan, Additional Director and State Medico Legal Expert, State Medico Legal Cell, Lucknow (UP). He spoke on the recent advances in medical and dental jurisprudence. Dr. Khan highlighted the benefits of non-invasive virtual or bloodless autopsy and the use of radiology and dentistry in post-mortem.
The seminar was attended by Officiating Dean Prof. Vinita Mittal, CMS & HRF Chairman Prof. A K Singh, Dean Student Welfare & Media Relations Prof. A P Jain, U C Singh, Dr. Jyoti Jain and Dr. Padmanidhi Agarwal, residents, medical and dental students and nursing staff and students.
