Israel and Hamas have been at war for more than seven months. Hamas still holds Israeli hostages. A large protest was held in the Israeli capital Tel Aviv to bring back these hostages. The protest led to violent clashes between the Israeli police and the public.

Anti-government protesters clashed with Israeli police in Tel Aviv demanding the return of Israelis held hostage by Hamas in Gaza. Meanwhile, a small US military ship and possibly a bar of docking area washed up on a beach near the Israeli city of Ashdod due to bad weather. Ashdod is not far from the US-built port through which the Israeli military claims to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinian territories.

Apart from this, Israel reportedly bombed northern and central Gaza on Saturday. Thousands of protesters demonstrated in Tel Aviv demanding the release of people held hostage by Hamas. Hamas attacked Israel on October 7 last year, killing 1,200 people and taking 250 people hostage. The protesters demanded an agreement with the government to bring back dozens of people still held hostage.

There was a demand for the resignation of Israeli PM Netanyahu

The protesters also demanded the resignation of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and elections. “We cannot remain silent after the government has abandoned the hostages to their fate,” a member of the group said. Gaza is facing a humanitarian crisis due to the Israeli attack and efforts are underway to deliver aid. Israel said aid is being delivered to northern Gaza and the Palestinian territories through a US-built port.

Israel is constantly attacking

According to information, four US ships involved in the humanitarian aid mission were hit by the sea. Two of them were in the Gaza Strip and the other two were in Israel. Israeli bombing of northern and central Gaza continued on Saturday as well. People were killed in attacks on Gaza's Jabalia and Nuseirat cities. According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, more than 35 thousand Palestinians have been killed in the war.
