Katihar, September 10 (HS). A large number of railway employees reached the Prem Karyalaya located in the divisional office of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) Employees Union on Tuesday and presented their demands and sentiments to the divisional secretary and divisional president. Thereafter, all the railway employees along with the divisional officials submitted a memorandum to the divisional railway management.
Railway employees demanded immediate stop to the Tughlaqi decree of East Central Railway, not to reduce the BOS of the running staff of Katihar base, immediate reinstatement of the dismissed PWI and track maintainers in the railway service, immediate improvement of the condition of dilapidated housing and arrangement of electricity and pure drinking water at the railway gates, and payment of pending MACPS, promotions and allowances.
Divisional Secretary Rupesh Kumar said that a Tughlaqi decree was issued by the Chief Electrical Loco Engineer of East Central Railway due to which a lot of anger has emerged among the running staff of Katihar base. He said that this decree should be stopped with immediate effect and the BOS of the running staff of Katihar base should not be reduced.
Besides this, the railway employees demanded immediate reinstatement of the dismissed PWI and Track Maintainers in the railway service, immediate improvement of the dilapidated housing conditions and provision of electricity and pure drinking water at the railway gates, and payment of pending MACPS, promotions and allowances.
Katihar Railway Division's Divisional Railway Manager Surendra Kumar has taken all the above problems seriously and has assured to take positive steps on them and the currently issued arbitrary order of East Central Railway has been stopped with immediate effect.
