Demonstration by employees of water supply department against privatization

Bikaner, July 22 (HS). Set privatization on fire… set it on fire… government should take back its decision… With slogans like these, the employees of the water supply department took to the streets today and protested. Seeing this intention of the government, there is anger among the employees of the water supply department across the state. A wave of protest is spreading across the state. The employees are calling this privatization unfair. On Monday, protests were held across the state to express anger.

Demonstration took place here in Bikaner

A protest was held today under the Rajasthan PHED Technical Employees Union against the intentions of the state government. The Bikaner branch of the organization expressed anger at Chautina Kuan, Naya Shahar Tanki. The employees raised slogans against privatization. Under the leadership of State General Secretary Jai Gopal Joshi, District President Akhechand Maru, on the call of the organization's State President Santosh Vijay and Joint Struggle Committee Jaipur, strong protest was held at all the offices of the Water Supply Department in Bikaner district.

State General Secretary Jai Gopal Joshi said that if the state government does not withdraw this black law, the proposal of privatization, then the organization will prepare a plan of movement as per the upcoming orders and will protest continuously. District President Akhechand Maru said that all the officers of Sub-Division Office III and VII participated in the protest.

Today, different organizations of the water supply department across the state expressed their anger against privatization. Along with the capital, the employees of the water supply department in Beawar protested today under the banner of their organization and demanded withdrawal of the privatization order. The employees raised slogans against the government.

What is the intention of the government…

The government intends to hand over the water supply department to private hands. In three districts of the state, electricity is also in the hands of a private company. In such a situation, the water supply department will now be known as Rajasthan Water Supply and Sewerage Corporation. Water bills and other orders will also now come in the name of Rajasthan Water Supply and Sewerage Corporation. This corporation is being formed under the 1979 Act. In such a situation, a big movement can also take place in the state in the coming days.
