Philadelphia: US Vice Presidential candidate Tim Walz attended the Diwali ceremony in front of about 600 Hindus present in the courtyard of a Hindu temple here. He lit the lamp and greeted the people present by saying Namaste. He said, diversity is our (America's) strength, that is why people from all over the world are attracted to come here. We have to keep this country attractive.
It is noteworthy that about 52 lakh Indians (Indian Americans) live in America. Of these, 23 lakh have the right to vote.
The votes of these Indians are becoming very important. Special: Vice President and Presidential candidate Kamala Harris is of Indian origin, so it is natural for Indians to lean towards her. Most of these Indians are Hindus. Therefore their votes are becoming important.
