A very sensitive issue is going on in Tamil Nadu Thiruparankundram Hill controversyThere was a dispute between the Hindu side and the Dargah present there regarding burning of Karthigai Deepam, Madras High Court had recently given a verdict on this, in which lighting of lamps was allowed, but with some conditions,

Why did the court get angry?
The job of the court is to listen to both the parties and give a decision. If someone doesn’t like the decision, they have the option to appeal to a higher court. But some people, especially some YouTubers and social media influencers, crossed all limits.

According to the news, Justice G.R. Personal attacks were made on Justice GR Swaminathan and other judges on social media. He was accused of being biased and whatnot. Caste comments were even made.

What did the court say? (It is important to know this)
When the case was heard today, the anger of the court was worth seeing. The judges said in a stern tone:Criticism can be of the decision, not of the judge. Don’t test our patience. If you point fingers at the judge’s character, we will not tolerate it.”

Court against two YouTube channels (Che Mujeeb and others) Suo Motu Taking notice, contempt proceedings have been initiated. The court has ordered the police and government to immediately remove such derogatory videos.

What is ‘Lakshman Rekha’?
The court explained a very important thing that in a democracy you have the right to speak, but it does not mean that you defame the Judiciary. A judge takes oath and sits on the chair. If you call him ‘corrupt’ or ‘casteist’ on social media without any evidence, it will make the public lose faith in the entire justice system.

Lesson for the general public
Friends, we often get carried away by emotions and write negative comments on court decisions on WhatsApp groups or Facebook. This incident is a warning. The arm of the law is very long. Express your opinion, but don’t forget the limits of language. Otherwise, it won’t take long for the “contempt of court” notice to come home.

Respect the law, this is the identity of a civilized citizen.
