Jammu, 26 November (HIST). A massive rally was organized in Rupnagar on Tuesday, the 37th day of the protest led by Movement Kalki. This rally was presided over by Movement Kalki’s Advisory Board Member Pritam Sharma and Board Member Karnail Chand. Shri Radha Krishna Mandir Mahila Satsang Mandal also gave special support in the rally. Hundreds of supporters participated in the rally and demanded to give the status of national mother to Mother Cow. The protesters peacefully distributed pamphlets and raised slogans on cow protection to spread awareness.
Pritam Sharma said in his address that the aim of our demonstration is to highlight the importance of mother cow in the society. We are continuously taking this movement to a larger level and if the government ignores our demands, this movement will take an even wider form. Meanwhile, Karnail Chand said that mother cow is a symbol of Indian culture and tradition. It is unfortunate that even after 10 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, a strict law could not be made for cow protection. Our aim is to make the entire society aware in this direction.
The participation of women in this demonstration was especially noteworthy. The demonstration was organized under the leadership of Shri Radha Krishna Mandir Mahila Satsang Mandal. Mahant of the temple, Shri Jyoti Prakash Shastri ji said that Mother Cow is the mother who nourishes our children. Their protection is not only an act of religion but also a cultural responsibility. The program concluded with a pledge to spread awareness about the service of Mother Cow and her protection. It is noteworthy that Movement Kalki demanded from the government that cow should be given the status of national mother and strict laws should be made for their protection.
